Dr. Melcher is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has been providing exceptional orthodontic care in Louisville since 1986. He graduated in 1982 from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree, and graduated from the Iowa Department of Orthodontics with a Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in 1984.

He has also served as President of the Colorado Orthodontic Association. Dr. Melcher regularly attends professional meetings and participates in numerous continuing education courses each year. He is active in various local civic and service organizations including the Louisville and Lafayette Chambers of Commerce. He has been selected as a 5280 Magazine top orthodontist every year since 2011, and as an East Boulder County Gold top orthodontist since 2017.

Dr. Melcher lives in Lafayette with his wife, Michelle, where they raised their three children.

Dr. Matthew Melcher is also certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a Louisville native, and the son of Dr. Tom and Michelle Melcher. He received his DDS degree from the University of Colorado in 2020 and was honored in the top 10 members of his class.

He then completed his 30 month residency in Orthodontics at CU and attained a Master’s Degree and Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics. His Master’s Thesis involved an analysis of Invisalign Clear Aligner clinical results as compared to treatment predictions.

Dr. Matthew decided to pursue a career in Orthodontics due to a passion for helping people and enjoying working with his hands to create beautiful results.

He and his wife Clare live in Lafayette with their new baby boy.
